College can be tough, so we are here to bring you eight amazing places that you can visit with your group of besties or just your bae. These vacation spots make it affordable to relax and have a blast!

1. New Orleans, Louisiana

Yes, New Orleans shows up on every travel list – but for good reason. New Orleans is filled with plenty of inexpensive hotels, great food, art, and culture! Walk down Bourbon Street for some people watching and jazz music, eat countless numbers of beignets at Cafe du Monde, or get your palm read at the French Quarter. The city is walk-able and the seafood is delicious. Check out this AirBnB cottage for you and five of your friends!

2. Port Aransas, Texas

Port Aransas – the best way to get that Cancun feeling on a budget. Take your friends and try a Bloody Mary from Seafood and Spaghetti Works or go on a magical dolphin cruse. Relax at The Back Porch Bar then rent some jet skis for a lot of fun! Take your selfie next to the giant shark and make all of your friends jealous. When you’re ready to cool down, make your way to Desserted Island Ice Cream. And if you’re feeling romantic, take that special someone horse riding along the beach (fancy!).

3. Nashville, Tennessee

Whether you like country music or not, Nashville is a great place for sight seeing. Music City is home to some of the best honky tonks, Goo Goo clusters, and hot chicken at Hattie B’s. You’d be surprised at the range of things Nashville has to offer. Stop by the Pancake Pantry for some blueberry pancakes, visit a full scale replica of the Parthenon (whoa!), and roam around the Delta Atrium inside the Opryland Hotel.

4. Brooklyn, New York

Yes, New York sounds expensive, but you can be frugal in this big city. Stick around Brooklyn and capture photos along the famous bridge (for that perfect snap), taste local craft beers, and tour the Brooklyn Museum. Shop like a local at some of their weekend flea markets and eat rainbow bagels @ The Bagel Store (cake for breakfast!). Brooklyn offers plenty of AirBnB rooms starting around $60, but if you are willing to splurge check out this gorgeous room for two.

5. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Myrtle Beach is the perfect place to get some sun and stick your feet in the sand. Bike along the beautiful oceanfront properties at the beach, ride the Sky Wheel for some romantic views, and visit Ripley’s Aquarium featuring a 340-foot glide path (aka walk UNDER the sharks). Rent a moped and make your way to some of the best seafood restaurants or stop by Dagwood’s Deli for some monstrous and delicious sandwiches! 6. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Philadelphia is filled with history and beautiful views. Keep learning while you pass the Liberty Bell, Carpenter’s House, and Independence Hall. Stop by the Magic Gardens, snack around the Reading Terminal Market, and snap some photos at Love Park. If you’re looking for bars, check out this list of the best bars in Philly. Tour some of the local brewery’s and be sure to stop by the best pizza place in town, Pizzeria Beddia!

7. Austin, Texas

Austin is filled with delicious happy hours and cheap beer! Stay in Austin and get crazy on 6th Street, eat Hopdoddy burgers, and shop around South Congress. Catch some local shows or (if you’re willing) wait in line for some Franklin BBQ. Plus, Austinites love Yelp – making it the best way to find plenty of fun and inexpensive things to do around the city. While you’re here, be on the lookout for free events and parties during the very famous SXSW festival, starting March 11!

8. Daytona Beach, Florida

Finally, Daytona Beach is known for their spring breaks – they have a whole website dedicated to it. Along with partying on the beach, go deep sea fishing, tour a chocolate factory, and make your way to De Leon Springs State Park to kayak or swim! Eat some delicious seafood at Crabby Joe’s and stay in this cozy condo with five of your friends.
