Five #LifeHacks That Will Change Your Life

1. A magical, safe and affordable way to fix a clog.

Everyone has bought Draino and poured the whole container down the drain to get a clog out of a drain, and most of the time, it works pretty well! The problem is that Draino along with other products are not good for the piping. They are so volatile that they can actually break down the pipe, and the chemicals, if they get stuck in a pipe or settle, can corrode the pipes, cause holes, and worsen a minor problem.

So, is there an alternative? Absolutely! Simple pour one container of baking soda and one container of white vinegar into the sink or tub drain and let sit for a couple of hours. The combination of the baking soda and vinegar will fizz. After you’ve let the solution sit, run hot water and, VOILA! Clog is fixed!

2. A natural way to clean and disinfect surfaces.

Save all your citrus rinds and put them in a container with cheap vodka. Let it sit for a few days, and VOILA! You have a lovely smelling surface cleaner that you could even drink (although we do not recommend this)!

3. An easier way to de-wrinkle your clothes.

Hang your wrinkly garment on a clothes hanger, and then hook it to your shower rod. Take a steamy, hot shower, and VOILA! Watch the wrinkles disappear! (Remember to put the garment on the outside of the shower curtain, not the inside!)

4. A great way to remove deodorant lines from your clothes.

Grab a dryer sheet and rub the deodorant lines, and VOILA! Your clothes are deodorant free (on the outside, anyway)!

5. Keep yourself from crying when cutting onions.

Rub canola or olive oil on your knives prior to cutting your onions, and VOILA! You will cry much less while cutting them up!
